5th March 2008 - Letter sent to the HSE
A letter of intention was sent to Professor Brenda Drum on 5th March 2008.
Eugene Kierans, President of Drogheda Chamber advised Professor Drumm of the Chamber's intention to mount a campaign in the coming weeks for the location of the proposed north-east super hospital in Drogheda.
The Chamber acknowledged that the location decision would be the direct business and responsibility of the HSE but wanted to highlight concern at the lack of a public decision on the matter allied to rumours of alternative approaches to this vital piece of infrastructure for the region.

Drogheda is one of the largest and fastest growing towns in Ireland, situated on opposing banks of the river Boyne, the town of Drogheda has long been a trade and cultural centre for the North East Leinster region.
